ABOUT US

It All Started with a Passion for Sports.

My first passion was the sport of judo (it’s where the ears come from! 😊). I was fortunate enough to represent Canada on the national team for eight years. During that time, I had the incredible opportunity to travel the world, experience amazing places, and meet some truly extraordinary people.

I credit so much of the good in my life to judo. The sport taught me discipline, perseverance, humility, and the importance of continuing to push forward—even when things get difficult. Without judo, I’m not sure I would be the person I am today.

It has shaped who I am, how I approach challenges, and how I connect with people. One of the lessons I learned along the way is a motto I continue to live by:

TRY-LEARN-GROW-SUCCEED

Through the kindness and support of a great friend, Angus Borland, I began my journey as a photographer. What started as an opportunity soon grew into a genuine passion for working with people—both as a sports coach and as a photographer.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of photographing thousands of people and telling their stories through my lens. I’ve also had the incredible honour of photographing five of the last seven World Judo Championships, combining two of my greatest passions: photography and the sport of judo.

I hope that one day I’ll have the opportunity to take that journey even further and capture our sport on the world’s biggest stage—the Olympic Games.
